Prof. Catherine V. Nnamani is a distinguished Nigerian researcher in Department of Applied Biology, Ebonyi State University, Nigeria. She has held significant leadership roles, including three times Head of the Department of Applied Biology, Ebonyi State University, Nigeria (EBSU) and Director of the Biotechnology Research & Development Centre. Currently, the Director of International Partnerships and Cooperation and Ambassador of Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) in EBSU.
Her research interests are diverse, ranging from plant systematics, dynamics of palynomorphs in relation to human health to climate change actions. She has great passion on systematic identification, characterization of Neglected and Underutilized Plant Genetic Resources, (Opportunity Crops) to enhance food and nutrient security of the vulnerable communities with respect to climate shock on agricultural yield and productivity.
Catherine coordinates international engaged research projects and leads the Biodiversity for Bio-Happiness Research Initiatives (BBRI) group which supports rural communities on how to enhance the food and nutrient security of vulnerable rural poor communities in Nigeria. She represents EBSU in global sustainability initiatives and participates in international inventiveness on empowerment while fostering international collaborations.
Prof. Nnamani has been recognized internationally as a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA) and as a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Climate Impart Research and Leadership Enhancement (CIRCLE) Program in 2016, organized by Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) in collaboration with African Academy of Science, funded by DIfD. Her initiatives on Research Uptake program on Stakeholders Forum & 1st National Conference on African Yam Bean gave birth to the Society of Underutilized Legumes (SUL), that publishes Journal of Underutilized Legume (JUL). She has successfully attracted and Co-led numerous research grants for Ebonyi State University, Nigeria, and African. These underscores her commitment to advancing research in her field and global collaboration.
Prof. Nnamani is the President of the Society for Climate Action of Nigeria. She has over 86 published scientific papers in high-ranking journals and she has presented her research outcomes in more than 17 countries across various continents.

Fadlullah Olayiwola Issa, a Principal Extension Specialist and Associate Professor at NAERLS, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, boasts nearly 30 years in agricultural advisory services. Holding a PhD in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology, and MA in Journalism (ABU), an MSc in Agricultural Extension (OOU), and a Master’s in Agricultural Policy and Administration (UI), his expertise covers innovation uptake, participatory extension, policy studies, climate change, and sustainable development.
He has contributed to projects like AFPA and AGRA, authored over 150 publications, and leads NIFAAS as President. A Fellow of AESON with multiple awards, he records 634 citations, h-index 13, and i10-index 20 on Google Scholar (Dec 2025).

Olushola Fadairo, PhD. is a distinguished community development and sustainability expert with almost two decades of experience in teaching, research, and high-level academic administration. He currently serves as the Director of the University of Ibadan Centre for Sustainable Development (UI-CESDEV) and the Acting Head of the Department of Sustainability Studies at the University of Ibadan (UI). He has provided strategic expertise to global organizations including the World Bank, USAID, and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria; Master’s and Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development from the University of Ibadan (UI), Nigeria. He was a visitor academic at the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2016. He is a member of the United Nations University-Education for Sustainable Development in Africa (UNU-ESDA), Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON), Rural Sociological Association of Nigeria (RuSAN), the African Association for Precision Agriculture (AAPA), the Nigerian Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (NIFAAS) and International Society for Development and Sustainability, Japan. He is the National Secretary of Society for Climate Action in Nigeria (SCAN). Olushola practices market gardening and enjoys traveling.

Dr Chinwoke Clara Ifeanyi-obi lectures at the Department of Agricultural Extension and Development Studies, University of Port Harcourt, currently the Acting Head of Department. She holds a doctorate degree in Agricultural Extension with research focus on strengthening farmers capacity to adopt sustainable environmental management practices while building their resilience to climate change effects.
She was a Post Doc research fellow of the United Kingdom Department for International Development under the Climate Impact Research Capacity and Leadership Enhancement (CIRCLE) Programme; a Research Fellow of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences under their Fellowship programme for Women in Climate Change Sciences; a Global fellow of the Center for Human rights and Humanitarian studies, Brown University, USA and a Fellow of West African Science Leadership Programme. She is currently an AWARD fellow under the Gender Responsive Agriculture Systems Policy Fellowship (GRASP).
Dr Ifeanyi-obi has contributed significantly to providing credible evidence for informed policy decisions in Agriculture and climate change, no wonder she won the first runner up for the 2023 Africa Evidence Leadership Award, Evidence mediator’s / knowledge translators’ category. Given by the African Evidence Network (AEN) in recognition of excellence work in evidence informed decision-making sector. Published widely with over 10 journal articles to her credit.

Abimbola Oluwaranti is a Professor of Plant Breeding and Genetics in the Department of Crop Production and Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Nigeria. She obtained her Ph.D. (Plant Science) with Speciality in Plant Breeding and Genetics from the Department of Plant Science, OAU in 2011. Prof. (Mrs.) Abimbola Oluwaranti won several research grants, including Research Grant in Climate research capacity and leadership enhancement (CIRCLE) progamme in Sub-Saharan Africa, funded by the Department for International Development (DFID), UK at Makerere University, Kampala in 2016. CIRCLE Research Uptake grants for “Distribution and evaluation of drought tolerant maize varieties by maize farmers in four locations of the rainforest agro-ecology in 2017 and 2021. She is one of Research Scientists of The DANIDA Project “Enhancing Production of Locally-Adapted Climate-Resilient Underutilized Crops” in Nigeria, 2025-2028.
